Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday this year was on 14 February, therefore also Valentine’s Day!  We spoke about the patience, kindness and generosity in forgiveness of God’s love as we begin the Lent season. We also lit the 40 candles; those donated by members of the congregation at Candlemas. The candles are wonderful in their diversity of shape, size and hue (see below), as are we!

Fish, Chips, Quiz & Sing-a-long

Fish, chips, quiz  and sing-a-long night took place on Saturday 10 February. Many thanks to social events team for organising  the event, especially to Kathryn for arranging the fish & chips orders, Miriam for administrating the orders and James for the quiz. Thanks also go to Rev Catherine for arranging the sing-a-long.
